Chemical and infectious waste spill kits must be kept in all areas where waste is generated. Although most of these items are kept in a laboratory, it is required that a dedicated box contain these items and be labeled as such. Also, attach the spill procedures and the contents to the spill kit container.

Chemical Spill Kit (as needed)
n  Absorbent material (solvent spills)
n  Neutralizers
    -  Acid spills (Sodium Carbonate)
    -  Base spills (Citric Acid)
n  Mercury spill cleanup kit
n  Safety Goggles
n  Gloves
n  Lab Coat / Tyvek Suit
n  Respirator (medical evaluation and fit testing/training required prior to wearing a respirator)

Infectious Spill Kit (Minimum Requirements)
n  Absorbent material
n  Disinfectant (bleach)
n  Latex gloves
n  Biohazard bag(s)
n  Boundary tape
n  First Aid kit
